Inappropriate clothing includes but is not limited to: Visitors’ apparel deemed inappropriate by the Miami County Jail Staff shall be denied their video visit. Visitors must be properly attired to visit.No money will be accepted by mail or in person to jail staff. Money will be accepted via commissary kiosk in the lobby, online at by smart phone via Access Corrections app or by phone 24/7 at 86.Visits or interviews by representatives of the news media must be approved by the Sheriff or his designee.If any court of record imposes a protection order, no contact order, or restraining order between the inmate and a potential visitor, no Video Visitation will occur.Actions of this type shall result in loss or suspension of all visitation privileges.
Presence of nudity or sexual conduct during visitation shall not be permitted.This includes consuming during the visit. Visitors who are believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to complete a video visit.Video Visitation may be denied or terminated for disorderly persons.Only those who have been approved by the Miami County Jail to visit by Video Visitation shall be permitted to visit.Visitors are NOT PERMITTED to use any additional cameras, and/or video devices, telecommunications or recording devices in an attempt to record or duplicate a video visit either on-site or off-site prior to, during or at the conclusion of a video visit.All Video Visitations are recorded and subject to monitoring for the safety, security and best interest of the Miami County Jail.Visitation may not be scheduled to interrupt normal required duties. Inmate workers of the Miami County Jails may have extended visits (not to exceed one hour) during regular visitation hours.All inmates have equal opportunity to have one thirty-minute visitation period each week.General On-Site or Off-Site Visitation Rules:
